Experienced Supervisory Officer at the County Administrative Board of Stockholm

We are facing a clear increase in our supervisory work, with a heightened focus on combating organized crime and criminal economy.

We are now looking for an experienced supervisory officer who wants to help drive development forward.

What does the role entail?

The County Administrative Board of Stockholm supervises approximately 6,600 foundations. The foundations manage significant assets and represent an important resource in society. As a supervisory officer within foundation supervision, you will work in the legal affairs department, located in the unit for municipal and foundation supervision. You will be part of the foundation group and play an important role in the County Administrative Board's supervision according to the Foundation Act, with a particular focus on combating criminal economy and organized crime.

As a supervisory officer, you are responsible for investigating and handling supervisory cases by following up on foundations according to applicable regulations. The work is conducted both independently and in close collaboration with other supervisory officers and lawyers in the unit. You will work independently on multiple cases simultaneously and are expected to prioritize, structure, and switch between in-depth reviews and taking action where needed to move cases forward.

As the pressure of cases can be high at times, it is important that you are both stable and structured. You are expected to actively contribute to developing work methods and priorities so that we achieve higher efficiency and shorter processing times without compromising quality. You have good judgment and see the bigger picture, considering the broader perspective in planning, actions, and decisions. Furthermore, you are meticulous and responsible with a good sense of legal security.

Your main tasks include:

  • Investigating and managing supervisory cases regarding foundations.
  • Reviewing financial documents such as annual reports, accounting, and other financial data to assess whether the funds are used in accordance with the Foundation Act and the foundation's purpose.
  • Making decisions within the framework of the supervisory assignment.
  • Communicating with foundations, boards, and representatives.
  • Prioritizing the case portfolio to ensure progress.
  • Contributing to the development of routines, work methods, and more efficient processes.
  • Participating in internal collaboration and knowledge exchange.

As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you may also need to be directed to other tasks within the department or the authority, as we are both a crisis preparedness authority and may receive temporary assignments that need to be resolved quickly. It is therefore a prerequisite that you have an interest in working broadly when the opportunity arises.

Are you the one we are looking for?

For this role, we want you to have:

  • A university degree, preferably in law, economics, or political science.
  • Current and several years of experience in supervision, auditing, qualified case handling, or similar governmental work.
  • An interest in economics and financial data.
  • High digital maturity.
  • Very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and helpful. You have the ability to handle many cases simultaneously, can prioritize between tasks, and work carefully and responsibly towards clear results. You have analytical sharpness, can see both risks and consequences, and can make independent assessments. Furthermore, you have high integrity, personal maturity, and a strong sense of security. To succeed in the role, you need to be comfortable in the governmental role and have the courage to make decisions even in complex and sometimes challenging situations. You see supervision as an important tool in crime prevention work and have a good ability to analyze information, see connections, and detect deviations.

We place crucial importance on personal qualities.

As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to:

  • have the ability to make decisions with consideration of multiple perspectives based on a holistic view,
  • understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to make trade-offs between different interests,
  • have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience and knowledge of financial auditing; such as working with annual reports, accounting rules, and/or auditing regulations.
  • Worked with financial law and have experience in reviewing annual reports.
