IT Operations Technician Wanted!

Your Everyday – Contribute to Our Development with a Focus on Security

The IT unit is an important support function within the Fortifications Agency, consisting of about 50 employees and continues to grow. We work with both regular and security-protected IT environments. We are divided into different groups; IT support, IT system management and development, IT security; IT architecture; IT infrastructure, and IT operations. In this role, you will work broadly with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure in your daily work. The focus is on managing switches, firewalls, and load balancers as well as network services such as DNS, DHCP, and authentication solutions. The role includes continuous monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and participation in change management. Daily work requires a basic understanding of segmentation, access lists, and network-related protective measures. Security is central, which means working in security-protected environments and requirements for documenting changes and following or developing routines.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma or vocational training or another relevant education that we assess to be relevant for the position.
• Experience in operations and troubleshooting in network environments from Cisco and Fortinet.
• Experience working with Cisco switches and firewalls in an operational environment.
• Understanding of segmentation, access lists, and routing.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Basic experience in managing and configuring load balancers, primarily Netscaler.
• Basic experience in managing and configuring SD-WAN.
• Basic knowledge of Linux-based server systems.
• Skills in PowerShell or Python for simpler automation tasks.
• Experience with authentication solutions.
• Certification in Cisco or Fortinet.
