Your Everyday Life – Contribute to Our Development with a Focus on Security

The IT unit is an important support function within the Fortifications Agency, consisting of about 50 employees and continues to grow. We work with both regular and security-classified IT environments. We are divided into several groups; IT support, IT system management and development, IT security, IT architecture, IT infrastructure, and IT operations. In the role of IT Operations Technician, we are looking for a generalist in server and storage. In this role, you will work broadly with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of servers, storage solutions, and related infrastructure in your daily work. The focus is on VMware, server environments such as Windows and/or Linux, as well as storage solutions like SAN/NAS. The role includes daily monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and participation in technical changes and projects. Security is central, which means working in security-classified environments and requirements to document changes and follow or develop procedures.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma or vocational education or another relevant education that we consider relevant for the position.
• Experience in operation and troubleshooting in Windows Server environments.
• Experience working with VMware in an operational environment.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Understanding of IAM, management of permissions and user accounts.
• Basic experience in operation and troubleshooting of storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Basic knowledge of Linux-based server systems.
• Skill in PowerShell for simpler automation tasks.
• Experience with certificates, certificate management, and authentication.
• Relevant education or certification from the vendor VMware.
• Relevant education or certification from Microsoft.
