System Administrator at the School Office in Trosa

Mission

As a system administrator at the School Office, your mission is to ensure functionality, compliance with legal requirements, and continuous development of the school's digital systems. This requires both basic technical competence and the ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions. We are looking for a person who can take on the assignment in a leadership role.

The role is intended to encompass system administration, vendor management, process leadership, and strategic planning with some, but limited, responsibility for daily support. This means working at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.

The system administrator is responsible for a number of systems and services that are managed together with system administrators centrally and at the schools. This entails a broad responsibility that requires good prioritization skills and structure.

The role serves as a strategic link between three critical domains: Operations (School), Central IT (Technology/Operations Platform), and external vendors such as TietoEvry and other system suppliers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the quality manager at the school office and representatives from the operations.

Qualifications

  • Process leadership, including the ability to lead meetings where different perspectives meet.
  • Communicative: ability to translate technical language into pedagogical everyday life and pedagogical needs into technical requirements.
  • Ability to see the big picture and understand how different parts of the organization's systems affect each other.
  • Relationship-building: ability to build trust and long-term collaborations within the school organization and with other parts of the municipality's organization.
  • Structured: Ability to manage many systems by grouping them into annual cycles and management objects.

In your application, we would like you to describe your previous experiences in the following areas:

  • Requirements specification, requirements management: dialogue with suppliers and ensuring they meet SLA and delivery.
  • System ownership for critical systems.
  • Schools' ICT work.
  • Work with GDPR and information security.
  • Management of development processes or improvement projects – what roles have you had?
  • Operational work with error handling and permissions.
