The security political situation in our region has changed, and the government has decided that military capability should continue to be strengthened. This means that the Armed Forces and Norrbotten Regiment, I 19, will grow. A crucial factor for our growth is that the operations at the unit are conducted efficiently. Therefore, we currently have a need for new employees in several positions and in several locations. We hope you want to join us in this expansive period.

About the Unit

The Logistics Unit (LogE) at Norrbotten Regiment, I19, consists of a Staff, a Technical Department (TekA), and a Supply Department (FörsA). The Supply Department, FörsA Boden, is responsible for providing supplies and transportation that the units need to conduct training, exercises, readiness, and missions. FörsA Boden consists of 8 sections with approximately 100 employees located in Boden and Kiruna.

We currently need a supply officer for the Command Section located in Boden.

Main Responsibilities

The tasks consist of handling cases and supporting the department's staff in matters related to logistics. The role also involves participating in planning and management, customer contacts, and following up on your own tasks at FörsA Boden.

Qualifications

  • 3-year upper secondary education or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as comparable.
  • Driving license class B manual

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working in the Armed Forces' support systems.
  • Experience in supply management.
  • Experience as a supervisor or officer in the Armed Forces or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as comparable.
  • Good physical ability.

I 19 is one of Sweden's largest regiments with operations in Boden, Kiruna, Tåme, and Grubbnäsudden/Lomben. The main location and leadership for the regiment are in Boden.

The regiment's most important task is to build combat units, and in the coming years, I 19 will gradually develop the new Norrbotten Brigade. By 2028, the regiment should be able to train, stockpile, and mobilize the entire brigade, including the associated functional units; command, field operations, air defense, and logistics. The brigade should be able to engage in combat in all environments but be specialized for combat in the subarctic environment of the Nordic region.

The regiment also houses the Armed Forces' winter unit, which is tasked with coordinating and supporting the development of the Armed Forces' winter capability.

The conscription training is conducted at the Norrbotten Armored Battalion, which is responsible for training and maintaining units for the Norrbotten Brigade. The regiment also consists of the regimental staff, Defense Health, Garrison Support Unit, Logistics Unit, and Local Planning Unit.
