Aerospace Technician at Norrbotten Air Force Wing F 21
Do you have aerospace technical competence and want to work with world-leading technology? We are now looking for someone with a technical interest, practical skills, and an approved Aerospace Technical education for the Aircraft Maintenance Unit at Norrbotten Air Force Wing F 21.
As a civilian Aerospace Technician in the Air Force, you will work with one of the world's most technologically advanced fighter aircraft, in a role where your skills make a difference. A meaningful job where you contribute to Sweden's defense capability every day.
The Aircraft Maintenance Unit
The Aircraft Maintenance Companies perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the JAS 39 Gripen. We also manage the operation of the Gripen system with readiness and preparation. Our missions are directed both nationally and internationally. The aircraft workshop performs maintenance at the rear level of the JAS 39 Gripen with inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and line service. Advanced repairs and modifications are also carried out in a specialized technical environment. You also have the opportunity to participate in national and international exercises and missions at the Aircraft Workshop.
Qualifications
- Approved High School Diploma
- COR (Certificate of Recognition) EASA Part-147 Approved Basic Training B1.1, or EASA Part-66 maintenance license or SE-EMAR certificate for aircraft maintenance
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driver's license B
- Swedish citizen
Meritorious
- Aerospace technical education at the high school level
- Completed military service or GMU
- Experience of previous work within the Armed Forces
- COR (Certificate of Recognition) EASA Part-147 Approved Basic Examination B1.1
- B2 Certificate or COR (Certificate of Recognition) SE-EMAR/EASA Part-147 Approved Basic Examination B2
- Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably military aircraft maintenance
- Experience with SAP, Fenix (systems in the Armed Forces)
- Authorization JAS 39

Additional Information
Permanent employment, full-time (employment begins with a 6-month probationary period). Civil position with start date as agreed. Internal training and travel in the service may occur. Depending on your educational status and experience, additional training may be necessary and training may take place at another location. Employment includes the obligation to be assigned to military service, participate in training, exercises, and missions, both abroad and domestically. As an employee of the Armed Forces, you must meet the Armed Forces' requirements for physical standards.

Norrbotten Air Force Wing, F 21, is Sweden's northernmost air wing. The main base is in Luleå, with side bases in Jokkmokk and Vidsel. F 21 continuously trains to deliver the following air operational capabilities in peace, crisis, and war:
- Control of airspace.
- Land and sea target combat.
- Intelligence gathering.
- Airborne transport.
- Support to other combat forces, total defense, and society at large.
F 21 defends - together with other units in the Armed Forces - Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. Together with the rest of the Air Force, we monitor and protect Sweden's airspace around the clock, year-round.
