We are now looking for an engaged and self-driven Coordinator for Planning Architect/Urban Planner who wants to lead and develop Jokkmokk's urban planning work together with wonderful colleagues in the development function and administration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the municipality's future through strategic and sustainable development work in close collaboration with politicians, colleagues, and external actors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a coordinator for urban planning, you will have overall responsibility for coordinating and driving projects within comprehensive plans, detailed plans, and other strategic development projects. You will also represent Jokkmokk in various contexts.

Your role:

• Drive and coordinate Jokkmokk's long-term urban planning with a focus on sustainable development
• Lead the work on comprehensive plans, strategic development projects, and municipality-wide issues
• Support politics with qualified analyses and decision-making materials
• Represent the municipality in regional and national collaborations
• Work closely with business, reindeer husbandry, the energy sector, and internal functions
• Navigate in a complex but incredibly exciting planning environment.

You will have great freedom to shape working methods, processes, and become a central cog in the municipality's ongoing development journey.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in urban planning or equivalent and who is passionate about sustainable community development. You have several years of experience in physical planning and are well-versed in the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and the Environmental Code. You are accustomed to handling GIS or CAD systems and have experience leading complex projects. If you have also worked with inter-municipal collaboration, it is a significant advantage.

• Experience working within municipal administration
• Self-driven, confident, and proactive
• Strategic and experienced in complex planning
• Well-versed in PBL and the Environmental Code
• Easily produces decision-making materials and compiles
• Experienced project leader or process leader
• Familiar with GIS/CAD (meritorious)
