Västmanland District Court is an open and modern court located in central Västerås. Here, over 100 employees work, and the court is one of the larger district courts in Sweden. The court handles a large number of criminal cases, civil cases, applications for divorce, bankruptcies, and court matters. The district court shares premises with the Rent and Lease Board.

Job Responsibilities

You will prepare cases and matters at the district court and serve as chairperson at meetings and main hearings. You will also work closely with the department's judges and prepare cases independently. Your own preparation consists of independent legal work, the area of which is decided in consultation with your supervisor based on the needs of the organization. Within these frameworks, you have great freedom in how you want to structure your work. Service at the Rent and Lease Board may also be relevant.

Qualifications

You who are applying should be a qualified notary from a district court or administrative court. The work requires very good legal skills, attention to detail, and an excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing. As a person, you are driven, structured, and can work independently and results-oriented. You need to be able to structure and prioritize your tasks from an effective holistic perspective. You are also attentive, have an easy time collaborating with others, and can adapt to new situations.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

The position is a permanent employment that may start with a six-month probationary period.
