S:t Iliansskolan is a 4-9 school located in central Enköping near the transport center. The atmosphere in the school is warm and caring, as well as creative and positive for learning. Students' ability to take responsibility and learn independently is emphasized. Students should feel appreciated as individuals and satisfied with the school environment. A positive relationship between staff and students and joyful learning situations increase students' motivation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a special education teacher, you will primarily work directly with students. Your work with students may involve both extra adjustments and special support individually, in smaller groups, or in class. You will have close collaboration with the school's special educator and other special education teachers. These are linked to their respective work teams where you are the link between the work team and the student health team. If necessary and in collaboration with student health and teachers, you are responsible for pedagogical investigations. You contribute to finding aids and alternative teaching materials and methods to create good learning environments at our school.

We expect you to see each student from a holistic perspective. Your mission includes driving an inclusive approach where students can receive their support within the classroom as much as possible. We want a learning environment adapted to the student's needs.

You will also work with mapping and observations of both individual students and groups. You conduct pedagogical investigations, design adjustments and action programs, or support educators in parts of this. The position also includes mentorship where you are a mentor in a class together with another educator.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a special education degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or mathematics development.

You have good pedagogical ability and are skilled at motivating and inspiring our students. Finding the keys to each student's learning is something you are particularly motivated by. Naturally, you have a positive attitude and meet students, guardians, and colleagues with competence and warmth. You are structured, flexible, and solution-focused.

You are accustomed to working with various mapping materials and methods for analyzing students' needs. You can plan and lead the work with mappings and investigations of students' needs for special support and function as support in the implementation of measures at the individual, group, and school levels. You have good knowledge of digital tools and other compensatory aids that you pass on to our educators.
