JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work of an SFI teacher involves helping immigrants quickly integrate into society and providing them with tools for further studies or work. You will teach adult immigrants the Swedish language and be part of a team where you collaborate with your colleagues to ensure that students have the best possible conditions for success.

You will plan and conduct lessons that help students develop their skills in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the Swedish language. Adapt teaching and methods according to student groups, levels, and learning needs. Help students understand and integrate into Swedish society by teaching about Swedish values, norms, the labor market, and cultural aspects. Document students' progress and evaluate to ensure they meet their goals.

The tasks within Komvux are a combination of pedagogical work and administrative responsibility. As an SFI teacher, you play a very important role in the students' future careers and integration into Swedish society.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher in Swedish as a second language.

Tierp Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If you also speak Finnish in addition to our other competency requirements, it can be an asset.
