Malmaskolan

Malmaskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 400 students distributed across two or three parallel grades. Malmaskolan is located in the heart of Norby in southwestern Uppsala. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, and it is within walking distance to beautiful nature in both Stadsskogen and Hågadalen. Malmaskolan is characterized by safety and stability and good results. Our staff is engaged and experienced and has good subject knowledge.

Job Description

As a teacher in this position, you will teach subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Technology. You have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your competence, knowledge, and engagement to ensure that the school achieves its goals with the student at the center. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the educational work according to the curriculum and other governing documents. We strive for collegial learning where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues, develop the operations. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish teaching license or is awaiting a license with qualifications to teach Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Technology. You need good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the primary school curriculum. The position requires good oral and written skills in Swedish. Experience with language-developing methods is an advantage, as well as IT skills focused on educational work.

You quickly adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities where others see obstacles. With a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge, you meet each student where they are and adjust your communication to reach them in the best way.
