About the workplace

The authority department currently consists of five units based on legislation regarding special support and services for certain disabled persons (LSS), the Social Services Act (SoL), and housing adaptation grants (BAB).

We are located in the wonderful Maria Park, and this position is part of the unit for common resources, which has a strategic overarching responsibility for the authority.

Job responsibilities

As a case officer for incorrect payments at the authority, you are our specialist competence regarding legally secure authority exercise and preventing incorrect payments. Your tasks include investigating suspicions of incorrectly paid assistance and reporting suspected benefit fraud to the police. You are expected to develop and implement long-term strategies and routines to reduce the risk of overutilization of the welfare system. Additionally, you will have a supportive role to the case officers, both in individual cases and through competence-enhancing measures and training. 

Collaboration with other authorities and actors is part of the job. You are expected to stay updated on what is happening in other authorities and in society at large regarding the issue and to pass that knowledge on to others. Your work will also include conducting training, establishing routines, compiling information and statistics tailored to the recipient; for example, case officers, politicians, or partners. To present statistics and work with business development, it is important that you can compile and analyze data. You will also handle both Excel and PowerPoint and ensure the quality of materials.

Qualifications

You must have a driver's license and a university degree that the employer deems relevant, as well as experience in investigative work. Legal competence in the relevant area is required. It is meritorious if you have experience in authority exercise regarding personal assistance. We want you to have experience in the public sector. You need to be accustomed to writing and investigating as you will be writing investigations, decisions, and police reports. Since many of our cases will be reviewed by a higher authority, it is required that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing.

It is also meritorious if you have experience in investigating incorrect payments. Furthermore, it is beneficial if you are knowledgeable about the various legal provisions that govern work with, for example, the Administrative Procedure Act, LSS, the Social Services Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and the Benefit Fraud Act. For the position, it is important to have an aptitude for legally complex issues, and it is meritorious if you have experience in implementing rights legislation. Furthermore, the person hired is expected to have a high production rate and should feel comfortable with computer-based documentation, preferably LifeCare.
