Nacka's municipal schools achieve good results thanks to our fantastic employees. The operational support within Nacka's municipal preschools and schools is now looking for an educational strategist.

The operational support is the principal's support function for the school principal/production director and all school leaders within the municipal operations. Our mission is to strategically develop, improve, and support the operations throughout the education system. The operational support consists of about 20 employees who enjoy working together and have fun at work. Here, there is high competence, great commitment, and a strong drive for development. With us, you will have a responsible, varied, and very meaningful assignment.

Your assignment
As an educational strategist, you work at the principal level and provide qualified support to the operations. The role requires independence, analytical ability, and confidence in complex issues. As an educational strategist, you will be part of a team with other educational strategists.

Your responsibilities include:

  • driving, being responsible for, and developing parts of the principal's responsibilities, such as complaint management, attendance reporting, and absence management
  • contacting guardians and, if necessary, supervisory authorities
  • being responsible for overarching work with primary schools' capacities ahead of school choice
  • collaborating with the municipality in the school choice process
  • strategically working on various development issues within the education sector
  • working with and following up on the systematic quality work (SKA) with a particular focus on adapted primary and upper secondary schools
  • leading and coordinating networks for school leaders to strengthen equity
  • planning and implementing professional development initiatives
  • collaborating closely with colleagues within the operational support as well as with school leaders and other central functions
  • writing service letters to committees/councils
  • supporting and, if necessary, mentoring school leaders on current issues.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a university degree with a focus on pedagogy/education or other relevant education
  • several years of experience working in primary schools and/or adapted primary and upper secondary schools, preferably in a strategic or leading role
  • good knowledge of governing documents, school legislation, and quality work.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • principal training
  • experience working with school choice and capacity planning
  • experience working with investigations of complaints
  • experience working with school development and systematic quality work.
