Junior Communicator at Stockholm City Mission

Stockholm City Mission is a non-profit organization working to create a more humane society for all. We do this through social care, education, and work integration – a mission we have been pursuing since 1853. Our goal is to provide people with new life opportunities, empower them, and ensure their participation in society.

Our communication plays a vital role in creating engagement, trust, and results – both in our digital channels and in how we tell the story of our work. We are now looking for a junior communicator who wants to contribute to increasing awareness and engagement for Stockholm City Mission.

About the Position

As a junior communicator, you will work closely with colleagues in communication and marketing. You will contribute to the daily work of planning, producing, and publishing content in our channels. You enjoy writing, like optimizing content for visibility and accessibility, and want to learn more about how digital communication can create tangible results.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Produce and develop content in both long and short formats (web, intranet, newsletters, social channels) where you, as a communicator, both write and design the content
• Support in planning and executing content work in teams, together with colleagues and the organization
• Update content in our channels and moderate social media

Profile We Are Looking For

You are curious, creative, and enjoy working with others to achieve goals. You love writing and want to become even better at creating communication that feels and works. You are a good stylist and are used to working with text, images, and video.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An interest in creating results through digital communication
• Excellent writing skills – a sharp writer in both long and short formats
• Experience with various social media platforms and conversion, as well as creating engaging content.
• Experience working with moving images including editing, text, and photos in various communication channels, and packaging communication for different target groups with relevant content.
• Experience working with image editing, Photoshop, InDesign
• Understanding and experience of SEO
• Strong collaboration skills, unpretentious, and enjoys working in teams
• Relevant post-secondary education (e.g., communication, media, digital marketing)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with texts for both short and long formats – from flyers to reports
• Experience with moving images and editing for both short and long formats and adaptation for different channels
• Experience working in CMS and/or with editorial work

Employment type: full-time, permanent, we apply a 6-month probationary period, start as soon as possible.
