About Ward 57

Ward 57 is a general psychiatric emergency care ward with an emphasis on acute crisis situations and is part of adult psychiatric inpatient care, located at NÄL in Trollhättan.

We have a total of 14 beds and care for patients according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Act on Psychiatric Coercive Care (LPT).

We investigate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute psychiatric conditions and illnesses, where the conditions require inpatient specialist care. The ward specializes in personality disorders and also works with the concept of BI – User-Controlled Admission. The goal of the care is to provide the patient with an optimal daily life.

The workgroup consists of doctors, specialist nurses, nurses, social pedagogues, and nursing assistants. In our ward, we prioritize the work environment and care environment. We work systematically on daily management and business development, which in turn enables continuous development of care quality and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

The treatment work consists of standard nursing tasks – ward rounds, medication management, sampling, wound care, injection administration, EKG, observations, and assessments. Assessments and actions for acute and non-acute somatic and psychiatric conditions. Leadership in varying degrees. Contact person for our patients together with colleagues. The contact persons are responsible for everything regarding their patients' care and for planning interventions together with the patient and the rest of the team. We have scheduled working hours every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse.
• You are open to changes and willing to contribute to the development of the business.
• We value personal suitability where qualities such as flexibility and good social competence with humor and a positive mindset are in focus.
• Previous experience in psychiatry is an advantage but not a requirement.

Clinical Foundation Year

Interviews may be conducted continuously during the application period. When filling a position in psychiatry, we always request an extract from the suspicion and criminal record. This request is handled by the employer.
