ABOUT THE JOB

We are developing our operations and need to expand our workforce. We are looking for a social worker for handling cases within LSS.

The position is organized within the unit for children and youth in social services. As a social worker responsible for assistance under LSS, you will work in a team of three, closely collaborating with other units within social services. Everyone works to ensure that citizens can receive the support they need in various situations.

As a social worker within LSS, you will primarily be responsible for assessing needs, making decisions, and following up on interventions for individuals with certain disabilities based on the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). You will have daily contact with users, relatives, representatives, providers, and other units within the municipality, as well as authorities and healthcare providers. It is important that you enjoy development work and see collaboration as a key part of success. We work according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) as an investigative methodology and place great emphasis on legal certainty and follow-up work.

YOUR PROFILE

You should have a degree in social work or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of IBIC and the operational system Lifecare as well as LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). Knowledge of disabilities and individuals with psychiatric issues is also advantageous. A B driver's license and driving experience are required for the position.

In your work, you will daily meet people from various backgrounds and needs, and therefore you should be confident, empathetic, attentive, and flexible. You are resilient, flexible in thought and action, have good collaboration skills while also being independent and proactive. You are good at structure and planning and can handle demands from the environment while completing your assignments.
