The group home Åbjörnsgatan is located in Gislaved. The service is for individuals with disabilities and care needs. The residents of the group home have decisions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

This advertisement concerns a permanent position with working hours scheduled for day/evening/weekend.

All staff work on-call according to appendix J and 2/4 weekends. Long shifts may occur.

Job Responsibilities

Together with other employees, you will work to make everyday life meaningful, clear, and rich in content for the residents. You will support/guide the residents in personal care, meals, medication management, home maintenance, community contacts, and communication.

An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the residents to maintain or develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time so they can live like others based on their circumstances. Adapt the environment according to the residents' needs and conditions. The work is based on individual implementation plans.

The job responsibilities also include IT-based documentation and administration as well as delegated health and medical tasks.

Tools that will be used include: PFA - pedagogical approach and working method, communication aids, visual support, sensory stimulation, and more.

Qualifications

Support Pedagogue: Training in support pedagogy with a focus on the disability area.

Support Assistant: Care and nursing program with a focus on psychiatry, disability area, or child and leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work.

Alternatively: Behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Experience with the target group is required for the position, as well as the ability to swim and no allergy to chlorine. A B driver's license is also a requirement.
