Residential Support Worker Wanted for Social Psychiatry

Do you want to work with people and provide support that truly makes a difference in their daily lives? We are now looking for residential support workers with a primary focus on social psychiatry.

As a residential support worker, you will work with individually tailored interventions in the client's own home. The goal is to enhance independence, reduce isolation, and create structure in daily life. The work largely consists of motivational conversations and support, focusing on making the client active in their own development.

You will be part of a team with extensive experience and broad expertise. The organization is divided into two teams that work with different target groups. We are based in Vetlanda's central area and provide support to clients throughout the municipality. You will primarily work independently, but in close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals, such as home healthcare, outpatient care, and authorities.

Your tasks include:

• providing support in creating routines around daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, planning, and time management
• motivating, guiding, and activating the client based on individual needs
• accompanying clients to activities or appointments, such as healthcare contacts or meetings with authorities
• being a listening support and contributing to increased participation in society
• working function-preserving and rehabilitative with a focus on the client's own abilities

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable and who meets people with respect, attentiveness, and patience. You build trust, motivate, and find solutions even when circumstances change. The job requires a good ability to work independently, but also to collaborate and cooperate with various actors around the client. You thrive in a role where you switch between practical support, conversations, and planning.

The position is 80 percent with the possibility of flexible hours.

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or has another equivalent education – for example, support educator, social educator, treatment educator, or child and leisure. Preferably with a focus on psychiatry.
• Experience in social psychiatry and LSS
• Driver's license (B).
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
