Treatment Secretary at SiS LVM Home Hessleby
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS LVM Home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest environment just outside Mariannelund, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have special expertise in receiving clients with mental health issues or outwardly aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to help create the vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment secretary at SiS is the meaningful work you are looking for. The starting point in our treatment work is to motivate people to new and less destructive ways of living. You work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you have the opportunity to achieve good results.
As a treatment secretary, you coordinate and are responsible for the clients' treatment at the institution, establish treatment plans, handle authority contacts, and are responsible for documenting the treatment interventions carried out, as well as supporting the treatment staff in their daily work. The treatment secretary plays an important role in ensuring that clients receive qualitative individualized interventions based on their circumstances and needs, and works closely with other professionals at the institution, such as treatment assistants/pedagogues, treatment coordinators, nurses, doctors, and psychologists.
The treatment secretary contributes to the development of the institution's routines according to the authority's guidelines regarding treatment and investigation. The work is varied, which requires flexibility and responsibility. This means that you are a structure bearer, meticulous, and organized. You understand the value and context of collaboration; it is natural for you to guide and support your colleagues. You are the initiator who anchors and implements decisions.
Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude.
You will work closely with unit managers and treatment coordinators in our various departments. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to collegial learning at the institution through various educational forums. If you are also passionate about personal development, the opportunities are many within SiS.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, are empathetic, and can create good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You also need to have:
- A university degree of at least 210 credits in social sciences/behavioral sciences, e.g., a degree in social work, or a university degree of 180 credits in behavioral sciences, or another university education that is assessed to meet SiS's guidelines on competence requirements for coordinating/planning treatment work.
- Experience in documentation regarding social investigations.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing.
At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
