12-Step Therapist at Strömgården

Strömgården is part of Piteå municipality's open care within social psychiatry and addiction, where you contribute directly to welfare and sustainable development – in a stable, public organization where quality and people's quality of life come first.

We are now looking for a 12-step therapist for Strömgården who wants to help develop our open care.

Job Responsibilities

As a 12-step therapist, you work closely with individuals who want to achieve lasting sobriety and drug-free living. You are there in both headwinds and tailwinds – structured, warm, and clear.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading group therapy according to the 12-step program
• Making assessments, establishing treatment plans, and following up with clients
• Collaborating with social services, the region, relatives, and other important partners
• Documenting according to laws, guidelines, and local routines
• Actively participating in team meetings, treatment conferences, and development work

Qualifications

You genuinely believe in people's ability to change and enjoy working in a team where everyone supports each other.

We expect you to have:

• At least 2–3 years of experience in addiction treatment
• Training in 12-step treatment
• Experience in leading groups and meeting people in vulnerable situations
• The ability to set clear boundaries in a respectful and calm manner
• Good Swedish in speech and writing, as well as basic digital skills

Experience from social services, psychiatry, group homes, or open care is advantageous but not essential.
