The Department of Disabilities is part of the Social Administration. Personal assistance is a right for those with significant disabilities to live as independently as possible. The support must always be personally tailored, and the user has the right to choose who will be their assistant, which is a fundamental part of the principle of self-determination in LSS.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for 2 assistants for a male user. There are pets in the home. Being a personal assistant involves a varied job with diverse tasks that are adapted and designed together with the individual. The tasks are governed by the individual's needs and working hours are spread throughout the year. The workplace is located in Gällivare municipality. In this position, you will also work with other users within personal assistance.

Qualifications

Experience in healthcare is an advantage. You should be calm, secure, and responsive to the user's needs, as well as good at working independently. As a person, you should be flexible and proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is a plus if you are an early riser, as some tasks are performed very early in the morning. It is advantageous if you have experience from work in care and support, personal assistance, or other experience that can be deemed equivalent. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability according to the user's choice. Administrative work is required, so good computer skills are necessary. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Under the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. 6 months probationary period. Working hours: shift work
