SiS Youth Home Johannisberg operates in Kalix and Boden (Sävastgården unit).

Job Description

Do you want to help create life-changing transformations in a young person's life? As a treatment secretary at SiS Johannisberg, you will have a varied and exciting job.

SiS Youth Home Johannisberg is a high-security institution beautifully located next to the Kalix River, adjacent to the quiet residential area of Grytnäs. The institution is in a phase of development and expansion, where work is ongoing to increase staffing and security. Our target group in Kalix is boys aged 16 - 21 placed according to the Law on Closed Youth Care and the Law on Care of Young People. All work is permeated by our guiding principles of Respect, Care, and Clarity. As a new employee with us, you will receive thorough introduction, basic training, and further education in areas such as safety, unauthorized influence, conflict management, CPR, and more.

As a treatment secretary, you will coordinate and be responsible for the treatment of the young people. The treatment secretary establishes treatment plans in consultation with the youth, social services, and other professionals in the treatment team, such as psychologists, nurses, and school staff. In this role, you are expected to coordinate and implement planning, documentation, and contacts with young people as well as with internal and external actors to drive cases towards set care and treatment goals. The treatment secretary works closely with the department staff, where the role includes guiding employees in their daily work based on the young people's treatment plans. You play an important role in ensuring that the young people receive qualitative, individualized interventions based on their conditions and needs. The treatment secretary also contributes to the development of the institution's routines in accordance with the authority's overarching guidelines for investigation and treatment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in treatment work and shares SiS's values of being a place for change. You are a good and secure role model for our young people, with the ability to create engagement and participation among both the youth and other internal/external contacts in your work. As a treatment secretary, you are expected to drive and plan your work independently, while a significant part of the work is done in collaboration with others. Therefore, you should have the ability to collaborate well with others to create good treatment results.

You should also have:

  • A university degree as a social worker or another behavioral science education that SiS considers equivalent and that includes at least 180 credits.
  • Good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language, both in writing and orally.
  • Driving license B.

Please attach your diploma to your application. Diplomas issued in another country must be translated and validated in Sweden through the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).

Meritorious:

  • Experience working with youth.
  • Experience in care and treatment work within social services, psychiatry, or correctional services.
  • Experience in investigative work and authority exercise.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Kalix, but travel in the service to our unit in Sävast (Boden) may occur. Start date by agreement.
