ABOUT THE POSITION

Bättre Assistans is part of Inre Kraft and is looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for our client in Sävast. We offer hourly positions right now + temporary positions during the summer! To be considered for the position as an hourly worker, you need to be able to work to some extent during the summer.

With this client, two assistants always work together between 08:00 and 18:00.

The working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends as follows:

• 08:00-18:00 (double assistance)

• 08:00-08:00 around the clock (8 hours waiting time/daily shift)

Start date and introduction will be agreed upon.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a woman in her 50s who needs your help as an assistant to live the best life she desires. As an assistant, you help her in her daily life with various tasks and activities, where you try to motivate her participation according to her abilities.

Listening to music, watching TV, and taking walks are activities that the client enjoys doing together with you as an assistant. Our client has Autism, Fragile X, and intellectual disabilities. She has limited verbal ability and primarily communicates through sounds and body language. The assistance task is of a supervisory and guiding nature.

The tasks include:

• Support with daily routines, such as household chores and activities

• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals

• Motivation, guidance, and structure

The client uses a wheelchair and electric wheelchair.

To thrive with our client, you should be confident in yourself, a good team player who works well with your colleagues. You should be communicative and have a good ability to adapt your activity level to the client; at times, the work involves a lot of stillness, quickly switching to activities that require supervision. You should have a good ability to read other people and enjoy working preventively. We also see that you have basic cooking skills, as homemade food is important for the client.

REQUIREMENTS

• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a personal assistant or in healthcare

• Experience with Autism/Fragile X/intellectual disabilities

• Driving license and access to a car

• Basic cooking skills

Employment level: 2-3 hourly workers as needed who can also work parts of the summer

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

Due to a legal change from March 1, 2026, the background check will be expanded to include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register.
