About the job
In Lidköping Municipality, we actively work to ensure that support for children and young people (0-21 years) with disabilities is designed to strengthen the individual's self-esteem and thus enable living conditions that are as similar as possible to those of other children and young people.
Brogården is a service for youth with autism diagnosis that also offers respite for parents. Brogården actively works to train young people in social skills and to become independent and ready for adult life while providing them with an adapted environment to socialize with peers and engage in fun activities.
We are now looking for a Support Pedagogue who wants to help drive the development of working methods and pedagogical approaches while being involved in daily operations. You will be part of a team with other support pedagogues within this service and receive regular supervision in your role as a Support Pedagogue.
Vision of the services:
That children and young people with disabilities should have the conditions during their upbringing to live an independent life in the future based on their abilities.
Job responsibilities
As a Support Pedagogue, you will develop, plan, evaluate, and lead the pedagogical work while being involved in the everyday work of providing children/youth with support in their daily lives. You are expected to drive method development and provide your colleagues with methodological guidance based on individual needs and interests. As a Support Pedagogue, you will also be involved in establishing implementation plans and working towards set goals together with other colleagues. Support pedagogues are responsible for pedagogical assessments and mapping to find the right support and adaptations for each individual child/youth. Support pedagogues also work with children and young people who for various reasons are not in the services, which requires high flexibility and solution-focused approaches.
We work in teams and actively focus on the best interests of children and young people. Support pedagogues often collaborate with other services such as schools, BUP, and habilitation.
Who are you?
You who are applying should have education as a Support Pedagogue and preferably professional experience in the support pedagogue role within LSS or equivalent education. Our service has grown for a long time, and we see that it will continue to grow in the future. We need to adapt to more flexible solutions, which makes previous experience in support pedagogue work important to take on and develop the role and the service.
You are confident and independent when it comes to working with clear pedagogy, adaptations, communication, and challenging behavior. It is natural for you to work in a team-based and unpretentious manner. You have a talent for planning and evaluating and have a strong sense of responsibility regarding supporting colleagues and working with children and young people.
We place great importance on personal suitability, where creativity and independence are important qualities. Furthermore, you have a professional approach, the ability to collaborate with individuals, relatives, colleagues, and other professional groups. The work requires a structured and clear pedagogical approach, the ability to see the whole, and the ability to lead/guide other employees in groups and individually.
We are looking for you with humor and a big heart who, with commitment and determination, wants to help develop Brogården.
Requirements:
- Educated support pedagogue or other equivalent education
- Good Swedish in speech and writing

- Experience with children/youth in social services, short-term housing, or HVB operations.
- Experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behaviors.
- Experience working with children and young people with neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
- Previous work with pedagogical planning and structure.
