Your Responsibilities

As a university lecturer with us, you will work with research, teaching, and supervision at both undergraduate and advanced levels. You will also contribute to the development of courses and educational programs. Initially, you will teach at the undergraduate level within the programs IT Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, and Business Engineer with a focus on digitalization. This means you will hold lectures, lead seminars, and conduct examinations in computer engineering and internet technology. In the long run, you are also expected to teach at the advanced level.

Examples of current teaching content include:

• technical cybersecurity
• networking (based on CCNA material)
• operating systems and server services
• IoT and cloud services
• programming and automation with Python and other commonly used programming languages

You will teach in both Swedish and English. Your work also includes developing course materials, contributing to pedagogical development work, and handling certain administrative tasks.

The position includes 20% professional development, which gives you the opportunity to continuously strengthen your skills and stay updated in your subject area and in the societal development relevant to the university's activities. As a university lecturer, you take an active role in the subject collegium and contribute to the pedagogical development of the subjects as well as the development of engineering programs together with others at the university. You are also expected to seek, develop, and drive new research projects related to the academy's research areas.

Your Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you need to have a PhD in computer science or computer engineering with a focus on networking technology or cybersecurity. You should have documented scientific competence in computer science or computer engineering, as well as documented pedagogical competence in the same areas. You have completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to at least ten weeks of full-time studies. If you do not yet have this training, and cannot demonstrate that you have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way, you are expected to complete it within the first two years of employment.

Furthermore, you need to have good programming skills, particularly in Python and C/C++. Additionally, it is expected that you can communicate fluently both orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

For the role, you are required to be a person who collaborates well and is used to working closely with colleagues. You have a proven structured working method that is evidenced by good planning. You take initiative and can prioritize between tasks, and you are also a present and engaged colleague - something that can be substantiated through references.

Meritorious:

• Experience in teaching and supervision at the university level
• Previous experience as a subject responsible
• Experience in developing and driving courses and education at a distance
