Fagerhultsskolan is a relatively newly established school for grades 4–9 in Hindås, Härryda municipality. Approximately 360 students attend the school in grades 4–9. Here, you work in welcoming, purpose-built, and well-planned facilities. The school was inaugurated in the academic year 2021/2022, and we are soon entering our sixth school year together. We work in grade-specific teams, and each grade has its own home base with larger classrooms and some smaller group rooms. The teachers' workspace is located within the home base for proximity to the students. Each class has its own home classroom where most of the teaching takes place, and in addition to the home classrooms, there are classrooms for practical/aesthetic subjects.

At Fagerhultsskolan, we have a pronounced collaborative approach and work towards a common perspective on our students' learning, with accessibility as a focus in both the physical and social/pedagogical learning environments. School-wide, we work with Positive Behavioral Support (PBS). A good collaboration with guardians is something we place great importance on and see as a vital part of our work. You can reach Fagerhultsskolan by bus from, for example, Korsvägen or by train from Gothenburg Central. The students at the school have their own digital tools, but we primarily work with analog teaching materials in all subjects.

Your Assignment

We are looking for a craft teacher qualified to teach both craft subjects for grades 4–9. We are seeking someone with an inclusive approach who meets each student based on individual conditions and needs. You are an engaged and flexible educator with good collaboration skills and a positive attitude. You have the ability to create good interactions and to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You believe that mentorship and relationships with students are important.

Requirements for the Position

You who apply:

• Must be a certified craft teacher. It is also possible to be considered for the position if you are awaiting your certification.
• See it as a strength to work in teams.
• Want to develop your teaching and work systematically to plan, implement, and assess students' knowledge.
• Adapt teaching at the group level to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their conditions.
• Consider guardians to be an important resource in your work.
• Have the ability to create good relationships and have a clear and professional demeanor in dialogue with students and guardians.
• Are good at communicating, both verbally and in writing.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

To obtain employment, a criminal record check from the police must be presented.
