Move & Walk is a school activity in Gothenburg that offers educational stimulation and activities for children and young people with disabilities. We work based on conductive pedagogy, which means we focus on strengthening the individual's ability to actively participate in their own development and daily life. Our goal is to create a safe and inspiring environment where every child has the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential.

About the position

We are now looking for an engaged and inspiring after-school teacher for our organization. As a teacher with us, you will play an important role in creating a meaningful and developing after-school program for our students. You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities that stimulate children's play, learning, and social development, always based on conductive pedagogy.

Conductive pedagogy

Conductive pedagogy is an educational method that aims to create opportunities for children with disabilities to actively participate in their own development. By focusing on the individual's strengths and resources, and by using specific methods and techniques, we support children in overcoming their obstacles and achieving their goals. In practice, this means that we:

• Work with goal-oriented activities: Each activity has a clear goal and purpose, and children's progress is monitored and documented.
• Focus on participation: Children are active participants in their own development and have the opportunity to influence their leisure time.
• Use aids and adaptations: We ensure that all children have access to the aids and adaptations they need to fully participate.
• Collaborate with parents and other professionals: We believe that close collaboration is the key to success.

Your responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate activities in the after-school program.
• Create a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
• Work based on conductive pedagogy and adapt activities to the children's individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
• Document children's development and participation.

Qualifications

• Licensed after-school teacher is a requirement.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is an advantage.
• Knowledge of conductive pedagogy is an advantage, but we also offer training opportunities.
• You are engaged, creative, and have a positive attitude.
• You are good at collaborating and communicating.
