About the School

Torsland School F-6 is a school with approximately 420 students in grades F-6 who attend regular and adapted primary school. The school area also includes Nolered School 1-6 and Torsland School 7-9 with an SU group and adapted primary school. You will work with the primary school F-6 and its SU group. Our beautiful newly built school was completed in the autumn term of 2024, and we have fantastic spaces both indoors and outdoors, including a wonderful schoolyard and a nearby area with accessible nature.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of our student health team, working closely with a health-promoting and preventive approach where we see student health as a concern for the entire school. In collaboration with special teachers, you will be responsible for conducting assessments to identify students' needs, carrying out investigations for special support, and establishing and evaluating action programs. You will work with several digital systems, including PMO and Vklass, which is the school's learning platform.

You may also lead teachers' learning in various development areas. Currently, we are training in SPSM's modules regarding language sensitivity, cooperative learning, and team and leadership development. The student health team also meets all teachers in student health meetings based on a clear structure that is rooted in a salutogenic perspective.

You contribute to developing an accessible learning environment and support teachers in teaching that is adapted to students' different conditions and benefits all students' learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a qualified special educator with experience in preventive student health work. It is advantageous if you have experience working according to the Bergsjö model EHM. We are also looking for someone with good competence regarding NPF in children.

As a person, you take responsibility and create a good working climate to establish a calm, safe, and pleasant school environment for our students. In your role as a special educator, you create motivation around learning. You see collaboration with colleagues and families as very important and a prerequisite for quality operations.

You are a secure adult who is professional in your approach and interaction with both students and adults.
