University Lecturer in Industrial Economics

Your Responsibilities
Your employment includes research, teaching, and supervision at both undergraduate and advanced levels, as well as work to develop courses and educational programs. You will primarily teach subjects such as industrial economics, supply chain management, lean, production technology, and logistics at the pre-university and basic levels. Teaching also includes advanced levels within programs focused on programming and machine learning (AI). The position also includes professional development corresponding to 20% of the working time.
As a university lecturer, you are expected to be active in following developments within your subject area and the societal developments relevant to the university's activities. You are also expected to take an active role in the subject collegium at the academy, both in the pedagogical development of the subjects and in the work to develop engineering programs together with colleagues. Part of the assignment particularly involves further developing the subject of industrial economics with a focus on AI applications in the university's engineering education.
The employment also includes seeking, developing, and driving new research projects linked to the academy's research areas.
Your Qualifications
For the position, you must have a doctoral degree in industrial economics. You also need documented scientific competence in industrial economics and documented pedagogical competence in the same area. Furthermore, good computer skills and basic knowledge of programming in Python are required. For the role, you must also be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are used to working closely with colleagues. You have a proven structured approach to work, which is evident through good planning. You take initiative when needed and have the ability to prioritize between different tasks. Additionally, you are described as a present and engaged colleague.
A general eligibility requirement for permanent employment as a teacher is completion of higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies, or equivalent competence. An employee lacking higher education pedagogical training must complete the training within the first two years of employment.
Meritorious:
- Experience in teaching and supervision at the university level.
- Previous experience as a subject responsible.
- Experience in developing and running courses and education at a distance.
- Industrial experience.

Employment form: Permanent employment. A six-month probationary period may apply.
