Swedish Language Instructor for Business Clients in Gothenburg - Primarily Late Afternoon & Evening

Berlitz Corporation has been operating in Sweden since 1931 and is a world leader in language and communication. We offer an international, professional, and dynamic workplace. We are currently seeking language instructors to deliver high-quality Swedish training in Gothenburg.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can be available for teaching (face-to-face & online) at least two afternoons and evenings a week (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM). This availability is supplemented by other times within our opening hours - 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Monday to Friday. Our clients usually have two lessons per week, and the most common combinations are Mondays + Wednesdays, Tuesdays + Thursdays, and also Wednesdays + Fridays (same times both days)
• Can motivate by being creative and dynamic while creating structure in the teaching
• Is present and attentive to the client's needs
• Is good at listening and open to development
• Has good and open collaboration skills with everyone in the team (administrative staff and other teachers)
• Is structured as the job involves a small amount of administration (documentation of lesson content and feedback on students)
• It is an advantage if you are a trained language consultant or have another linguistic education.

You need:

• To teach in Swedish at a native level.
• At least a bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience. If you are a student, you do not need to have graduated yet.

Your tasks:

You will teach Swedish according to the Berlitz method® while documenting the student's pedagogical development. As an instructor, you should be able to motivate by being creative and dynamic while creating structure in the teaching. Teaching takes place at our office in central Gothenburg as well as at the client's location. We collaborate throughout the organization regarding students within our team.

Mandatory Instructor Training Online

The position is a needs-based employment and is offered after completing and passing the mandatory instructor training online. The training consists of approximately 30 teaching hours and spans a period of about three weeks. It begins with self-study in the form of online modules and is followed by teacher-led virtual sessions in English. The training is not compensated, but we see it as an investment in our future instructors and therefore cover the cost ourselves. Once you have completed the training and started your employment, all further training and workshops are compensated.
