Do you want to help build a new distribution center and ensure that the operational flows work seamlessly from the start? We are now looking for an Operational Project Lead for a qualified consulting assignment within warehousing, supply chain, and DC setup.
About the assignment
This is a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible. Scope and placement will be discussed further in dialogue.
This is a role for you who thrive in a coordinating function where you can combine project management, operational understanding, and structured follow-up. You will be the link between management's overall goals and the daily operational reality, ensuring that the work progresses with the right quality and pace.
About the assignment
In this role, you will drive the central operational workflows within the distribution center. You will work closely with operational managers and ensure that structure, prioritization, and progress are clear in each area.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading weekly check-ins with responsible managers
- Following up on activities and ensuring that timelines are met
- Identifying and escalating risks
- Ensuring that workflow decisions are documented and implemented consistently
- Supporting managers in breaking down goals into concrete and actionable activities
The role also involves close collaboration with the Industrial Engineer to ensure that operational decisions harmonize with layout development, equipment selection, and capacity calculations. You actively contribute to driving the project towards milestones such as completed layout, complete equipment list, workstation design, and supplier selection.
An important part of the assignment is to develop clear process maps for flows such as goods receipt, kit production, picking, packing, and delivery, as well as compiling decision-making materials for the management team.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or production who has worked in project form - preferably within warehouse setup, startups, or larger change projects.
You have a good understanding of WMS and ERP-driven processes and how they affect:
- Goods receipt flows
- Picking strategies (batch, zone, wave)
- Inventory accuracy and inventory logic
- Material movements and delivery flows
You are structured, analytical, and used to coordinating multiple functions simultaneously. As a person, you are communicative, solution-oriented, and confident in creating clarity in complex environments. You thrive in the consulting role and are motivated by achieving results through structure, collaboration, and clear follow-up.
