Your Role

Do you want to work at the forefront of technology and help secure a production where quality, precision, and reliability are crucial?

We are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer for our Maintenance section within the production technology department at SAAB Dynamics production site in Björkborn, Karlskoga.

Our section is responsible for the maintenance of tools, equipment, and machines - and works closely with colleagues in production, quality, and other production technology functions. Here, you will be part of a competent and engaged team where we together ensure that production is efficient, stable, and future-proof.

As a maintenance engineer, you will have overall responsibility for your maintenance objects throughout their lifecycle - from planning and optimization to development and modernization. The role combines technical analysis, problem-solving, and practical work in a dynamic production environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.

You will, among other things:

• Plan, develop, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance in close collaboration with production
• Lead and coordinate larger troubleshooting efforts focusing on root cause analysis and long-term improvements
• Collaborate with suppliers - both nationally and internationally - and plan and coordinate their efforts on site
• Ensure correct and structured documentation of maintenance activities
• Participate in and drive renovations, improvement projects, and technical upgrades of production equipment
• Provide technical support and contribute specialist expertise to production
• Be responsible for the purchase of spare parts and services related to maintenance work

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, automation, or a related field. You are confident in your technical skills and enjoy combining analysis with practical implementation.

You work independently when needed but are also a team player who values collaboration and knowledge sharing. With a structured approach and a natural drive, you take responsibility for solving problems in a methodical and long-term manner.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have a good technical understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, and/or electricity
• Are experienced in troubleshooting, technical analysis, and systematic improvement work
• Have a higher technical education or several years of experience in qualified maintenance work at the system or component level
• Master Swedish and English in both speech and writing
