Do you want to help develop the future of marine cooling water pumps? SPX Flow is looking for a skilled and dedicated Design Engineer who wants to take responsibility for the Johnson Pump Marine product line, focusing on innovative solutions for engine applications and other automotive/marine systems.
About the position
As a Design Engineer, you will:
- Develop cooling water pumps for the marine industry in close collaboration with OEM customers
- Drive new development projects where you will renew and develop their product range for various automotive and marine applications
- Be responsible for the design and development of advanced pump systems, from idea to start of production (SOP)
- Be a key person in product development and work closely with internal teams and suppliers

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and design of JP Marine products
- Participate in project teams from concept to SOP
- Collaborate with sales, production, and product management
- Troubleshoot and solve technical problems
- Validation and testing of developed designs in collaboration with the testing engineer in the internal test lab
- Handle technical inquiries from OEM customers
- Develop prototypes and technical specifications
- Ensure designs meet relevant standards
- Create technical documentation (manuals, drawings, calculations)
- Drive product standardization and improvement work
We are looking for someone who
- Has a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
- Has at least 4 years of experience in design (automotive, railway, or mechanics).
- Has experience with CAD (Inventor, SolidEdge) and SAP.
- Is fluent in Swedish and English.
- Is problem-solving, curious, and proactive.
It is a plus if you have
- Knowledge of or experience in electronics/mechatronics.
- Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
