PartnerTech Karlskoga is a well-established company with one of Sweden's most modern facilities for advanced mechanical manufacturing. The operations focus on machining with very high demands for precision, quality, and documentation – primarily for the defense industry but also for civilian customers in sectors such as energy and manufacturing. Your Responsibilities
As a production engineer, you play a central role in ensuring efficient, stable, and quality-assured production processes. You work closely with production and contribute both operationally and developmentally.
Key Responsibilities:
Production engineering preparation and startup of new jobs
Development, improvement, and standardization of production methods and flows
Perform production technical analyses and improvement work
Develop and update instructions and technical documentation
Provide technical support to production on a daily basis
Collaborate with production, tool suppliers, and other functions.
Costing and Production Basis
As a production engineer, you also contribute to the work with costing and production basis, where your technical understanding is important for creating realistic and competitive decision-making bases.
This includes:
Participating in the development and review of production cost calculations
Ensuring that methods, times, materials, and resources reflect actual production
Contributing with technical documentation in quotation work and new business
Following up calculations against actual outcomes and identifying improvement potential
Collaborating with project management, production, and finance to optimize costs and flows
This gives you the opportunity to influence both profitability, efficiency, and choice of production solutions early in the process.

Your Profile
We are looking for someone who:
Is a civil or university engineer, or has equivalent experience in production engineering/mechanical engineering
Has experience from the mechanical manufacturing industry, preferably machining
Is proficient in reading drawings, CAD/CAM, and measurement technology
Is structured, solution-oriented, and enjoys working closely with production
Communicates fluently in Swedish and English
Experience from the defense industry or work with high documentation requirements is an advantage.
