Do you want to work in a technology-intensive environment where development and production meet in everyday life? We are now looking for a mechanical designer for a long-term consulting assignment with an international industrial company.

You will be part of an R&D team of about 15 people with various specialist competencies in design and product development. The business is complex and continues to evolve, which means that working methods and solutions are not always fully standardized. This requires technical expertise, flexibility, and collaboration.

In this role, you will work on mechanical design of technically advanced modules that are integrated into larger machine systems. You will be responsible for developing well-thought-out and robust solutions that take into account strength, welding constructions, load cases, and manufacturability. The designs must work in practice, from CAD to finished product in operation.

You will closely collaborate with production, which is partly manual and in a development phase, meaning your design choices will directly impact quality, flow, and efficiency. The role also involves international contacts with development teams in other parts of the world.

This is an environment where structures are developed in parallel with the product. You need to enjoy building up, improving, and driving processes forward.

• Has at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design
• Is an educated mechanical engineer or equivalent
• Has a good understanding of welding constructions and strength theory
• Understands the relationship between design and production
• Has a practical inclination, such as experience in assembly or personal mechanical interest
• Is collaborative and thrives in an international environment

• You enjoy solving problems and getting things done
• You are unpretentious and work well in a team
• You are motivated by development rather than finished templates
