We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer for a leading high-tech industrial company in defense and security in Karlskoga.

In this role, you will work within mechanical support, a department responsible for change design, drawing review, and configuration management.

Your tasks will include:

• Making changes to existing designs in CATIA 3DX
• Working with change management in IFS
• Implementing both larger and smaller design changes – from labels and packaging to precision mechanical parts
• Being part of a team where quality, traceability, and order are central
• Participating in internal training in 3DX and working in an environment with high security requirements

The department consists of about 14 people with mixed competencies, and you will be part of an engaged team with a good atmosphere and much collaboration.

• Post-secondary technical education (at least 3 years, not vocational)
• At least 1 year of experience in CAD design
• Swedish and English in spoken and written form
• Ability to be approved for security clearance Security Class 3 (NLAW)

• Experience with CATIA 3DX
• Experience with IFS
• Experience in precision mechanics, mechatronics, or electrical/mechanical

• Has a strong work ethic and takes responsibility for their tasks
• Thrives in a role with many points of contact
• Is helpful, unpretentious, and communicative
• Likes to work in a structured way and values quality and accuracy
• Has a genuine technical interest and wants to develop within mechanical design

You will be part of a technical and highly specialized environment that works with advanced systems for defense and security. The work involves both individual tasks and collaboration across departmental boundaries, where you will contribute to the development of products that demand high quality and documentation.

There is an opportunity for remote work 1 day a week. Working hours are flexible with fixed joint meetings on Mondays and regular internal check-ins.
