About the role

At Ramboll Healthcare, we create sustainable, smart, and safe healthcare environments for the future. We develop hospitals and healthcare centers that promote good care and contribute to sustainable societal development. Through multidisciplinary teams that combine technology, architecture, and automation, we create healthcare environments that make a real difference.

Our global organization allows us to gather and apply expertise from around the world in every project. We are organized into international Spearheads and Service Lines that enable us to collaborate across borders, share experiences, and leverage the collective expertise within the group. In Healthcare, this means we can offer specialized knowledge in the planning and design of healthcare buildings, regardless of where in the world they are located. In Sweden, Ramboll Healthcare consists of about 160 dedicated colleagues, spread across several locations in the country. Together, we drive some of the country's most significant healthcare projects – and we are growing!

We are looking for you

  • You have several years of experience as an HVAC engineer.
  • You have several years of experience in HVAC design.
  • You have an interest in driving innovation and sustainability.
  • You work proactively and understand the value of digitalization.
  • You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

If you have experience with HVAC projects in hospitals or other healthcare settings, it is an advantage. With us, you will have a strong platform and good opportunities to deepen your expertise further in the field. However, this is not a requirement. We also welcome those who have experience in HVAC in other types of projects and who want to further develop within complex healthcare environments. If you have the right technical foundation, a structured working method, and a desire to grow in the role, we view your application very positively.

This is what you will do with us

You will become part of our dedicated team of HVAC and electrical engineers working with cutting-edge technology for tomorrow's healthcare buildings. The team is primarily based in Gävle and Eskilstuna, but we have several colleagues from the Healthcare division and other parts of Ramboll Buildings located in Uppsala and Örebro. You will definitely find a strong network around you – you will not be alone – while stepping into the team at an exciting time as we grow and develop our operations.

As an experienced HVAC engineer, you will play a key role in our projects, where you will have the opportunity to contribute both technical expertise and leadership. Depending on your experience and ambitions, you can take on managing and project-leading roles, where you will be responsible for driving and ensuring the delivery of HVAC design and coordinating work in multidisciplinary design teams. If you want to focus on the specialist role and delve into advanced technology, there is also the opportunity for that.

We envision that with your experience, you will want to:

  • Lead and drive projects in healthcare environments.
  • Design HVAC systems, or special systems such as medical gases, etc.
  • Be a support and advisor to our clients in decisions on complex technical issues.
  • Act as a mentor for less experienced employees.
  • Collaborate with colleagues both nationally and internationally.

Why you should choose Ramboll Healthcare

  • You will work on complex, socially beneficial projects that make a real difference.
  • You will be part of a network of experts with high competence.
  • We offer continuous professional development and career opportunities.
  • Flexible working arrangements, balance between work and leisure, and a strong focus on sustainability.
  • You will become part of an international company with a strong local presence in Sweden.
  • You will work in multidisciplinary teams where collaboration and cross-functional solutions are at the center.

Interested? Apply quickly and easily!

We are always interested in connecting with those who want to help shape the future of healthcare environments. Send us your application – we look forward to starting a dialogue if you have the profile we are looking for.

Application deadline: 2026-04-15.
