The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

About Ward 8

Ward 8 is part of the Medicine department at Kungälv Hospital. Our new ward is designed so that each team of nursing assistants, nurses, paramedics, and doctors has the best conditions to utilize each other's and the patients' resources and expertise.

We are a specialist medicine ward focusing on hematology, gastroenterology, diabetes, and IMA. The ward has specialist competence and advanced technology to care for patients who need medical emergency care.

We have close collaboration with other units within the Medicine department.

Job Responsibilities and Work Methods

Work on the ward is knowledge-intensive, developing, and exciting. We work with person-centered care, which means that all professions – nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors – work in a common team together with the patient.

We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as in a team. The working method requires that you have a drive to learn new things and can adapt quickly in acute situations.

Qualifications

You should be a trained nursing assistant, and experience in our specialties is an advantage. It is important to us that you are driven to help develop care with the patient at the center, as well as actively share your knowledge with colleagues and equally curiously engage with your colleagues' expertise.

Protected Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected job title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant within healthcare and social services.
