About our job openings

We are now looking for midwives for SÄS this summer. Care at the hospital is provided around the clock, which means you may work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The SÄS summer period runs from week 23 to week 35, and to best plan and implement our summer vacancies, we value that you can work eight consecutive weeks during this period.

As a midwife, you will perform standard tasks. The work is carried out in teams, which requires flexibility and teamwork skills. The organization actively works with quality and operational development.

About us

By the summer of 2026, we will need midwives as substitutes for our operations. The maternity ward handles over 2,700 deliveries a year. We manage deliveries from pregnancy week 28. The unit also has care places for patients with high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy complications from week 22. The maternity and neonatal departments will be located in shared facilities with 24 care places from mid-January 2026. Here, we have single rooms where families are cared for together, regardless of whether it is the child or the mother who has a care need. The unit has 5 (6) care places with the possibility of intensive care for the sickest children. The antenatal clinic consists of specialized maternal care and ultrasound. The gynecology care unit has eight care places, an outpatient service, and an emergency service available at all hours of the day.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife with previous experience in the specialty area. It is an advantage if you can work eight consecutive weeks during our summer period, preferably weeks 25-32.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and expect you to be responsible, empathetic, have good collaboration skills with colleagues across all professional categories, and a kind demeanor towards patients. The work includes both independent and group work with others.

To provide our patients with good and safe care, it is important that our employees have good language skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Swedish.
