We are now looking for a dentist who wants to make a difference!

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

At Folktandvården Mariestad, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs.

As a dentist with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well received and secure during their visit. You will utilize your entire skill set while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service. We are a large clinic with dedicated staff, where we value collaboration and ensure that together we create a rewarding and stimulating work environment.

Your duties will include:

• Working both independently and alongside your colleagues in the treatment room.
• Conducting both simpler examinations and more advanced treatments, as well as emergency dental care.
• Being the team's specialist in oral diagnostics.

We have a total of 30 employees with a very broad competence and extensive experience in complicated treatments for patients of all ages. Everything from dental-anxious patients treated with nitrous oxide in a calm environment to advanced implant prosthetics. The clinic also has its own OPG.

Folktandvården Mariestad is one of the region's nitrous oxide clinics and accepts referrals for both children and adults. Dentists and dental hygienists have joint therapy meetings where all questions are welcome. We learn from each other. All for the benefit of our customers and patients. The clinic has 16 treatment rooms in its own building.

Qualifications and Profile

• Licensed dentist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working in 2 rooms, for example during examination sessions
• Experience as a supervisor

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your first year. The mentoring program is part of our three-year development program with up to 18 days of professional development.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR department for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic.

If you, as an applicant, have education/degree from another EU/EES country than Sweden and lack references, it may be necessary to complete additional theoretical and clinical work samples as part of the recruitment process.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment. Interviews are planned between weeks 15 and 16.
