Would you like to help create smiles with us? We are looking for an orthodontic assistant/dental nurse with an interest in orthodontics who is interested in eventually undergoing orthodontic assistant training.

The orthodontic assistant training is a 2-year supplementary education that takes place during working hours and is funded by the employer.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

At the Orthodontic Clinic, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dental nurse with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well received and secure during their visit. You will utilize your entire skill set while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service. We work in teams with varying compositions, where dental nurses and orthodontic assistants independently perform part of the patient treatment within their area of competence.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with examinations and treatments
• Your own patient treatments within the scope of your competence
• X-ray management
• Photography
• Intraoral scanning
• Administrative tasks

The Orthodontic Clinic is a large clinic with about 50 employees and 12 training positions for national and international specialist training of dentists. The clinic is located at Odontologen along with the area's other specialist clinics.

Competence Requirements and Profile

Orthodontic assistant or trained dental nurse with education from MYH (The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)

• Proficiency in the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• Good computer skills
• Ability to independently manage administration
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

Since the clinic conducts international specialist training, knowledge of English is an asset. Flexibility is highly valued in a large clinic with many employees.

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly trained dental nurses.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 15 and 16.
