About Us

Folktandvården Olskroken consists of 35 employees providing dental care to approximately 20,000 patients.

The clinic is open from 7 AM to 7 PM, except on Fridays when we close at 5 PM. The clinic is located at Olskrokstorget, a vibrant urban environment close to the city center. Excellent transportation links are available to all parts of Gothenburg. In the autumn of 2021, the clinic was partially renovated, including two new treatment rooms.

Job Responsibilities

Working in the sterile area of a dental clinic requires knowledge of basic hygiene routines and how sterilization equipment functions. You will work with functional checks, instrument care, and packaging of instruments, as well as starting and monitoring disinfection processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with established goals and the regulations in Folktandvården.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing operations in the sterile area, such as cleaning instruments and similar tasks.
• Ensuring that hygiene routines in the sterile area are followed.

The work is independent with varying tasks. If you are a dental nurse applying for the position, assistance and other typical dental nurse tasks may also be relevant.

The position is a fixed-term employment for approximately 12 months, with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications and Profile

We expect you to be/have:

• Trained sterilization technician or dental nurse with an approved education from MYH (Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Proficiency in the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• The ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• The ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• The ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Interest in and good knowledge of hygiene and sterilization work

About the Recruitment Process

After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for week.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen will conduct checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
