About our open position

We are currently looking for healthcare assistants for SÄS this summer. Care at the hospital is provided around the clock, which means you may work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The SÄS summer period extends from week 23 to week 35, and to best plan and implement our summer positions, we value that you can work eight consecutive weeks during this period.

As a healthcare assistant, you will work with basic care focusing on supporting patients in maintaining and improving their functions. You will assist patients with meals, personal hygiene, and mobility. Your tasks also include keeping order in the kitchen and storage, performing some cleaning, and extra monitoring.

In all our departments, you will work as a healthcare assistant in teams with other professionals, and your tasks may vary depending on where in our operations you are placed.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who meets at least one of the following requirements for the position:

• Healthcare assistant education (800 points according to VO-College)
• Student nurse (passed subjects equivalent to healthcare assistant education of 800 points according to VO-College in the following courses: anatomy and physiology, functional ability and disability, gerontology and geriatrics, health and medical care, nursing, psychiatry, psychology, social care, Swedish)
• Nursing student (passed semester 2 or will complete semester 2 by June 2026)
• Medical student (passed semester 1 or will complete semester 1 by June 2026)

Work experience in healthcare is an advantage. It is also an advantage if you can work eight consecutive weeks during our summer period, preferably weeks 25-32.

We place great importance on personal suitability and expect you to be responsible and have good collaboration skills, as the work involves both teamwork and independent tasks. We value a positive attitude towards patients and their families.

To provide our patients with good and safe care, it is important that our employees have good language skills and the ability to communicate in Swedish.
