About our job openings

We are currently seeking ambulance paramedics/nursing assistants with experience in non-emergency patient transport for SÄS this summer. On the ambulance, you are expected to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends; in non-emergency transport, you will work days, evenings, and weekends. The SÄS summer period runs from week 23 to week 35, and to best plan and execute our summer positions, we value that you can work eight consecutive weeks during this period.

As an ambulance paramedic, you will perform standard tasks in the ambulance. It is important to be able to handle technical equipment such as communication devices and vehicle computers where patient cases are received from SOS and the healthcare alarm center.

Your role involves significant responsibility as you collaborate with a nurse as a colleague in the ambulance. The assignment involves ensuring care and transport of patients between different healthcare units. We expect you to work from an ethical standpoint and contribute to good interactions, quality patient care, and a positive work environment.

About us

By summer 2026, we will need substitutes for units in Borås, Herrljunga, Skene, Svenljunga, Tranemo, Ulricehamn, and non-emergency transport. The units are part of the emergency care area, which consists of over 230 employees. The operation also includes the emergency department in Borås.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained ambulance paramedic by June 2026 or a trained nursing assistant with experience in non-emergency transport. If you are a trained ambulance paramedic, experience in ambulance care and non-emergency transport is an advantage. Good physical condition, swimming skills, and a valid driver's license are required. Good knowledge of the SÄS catchment area is advantageous. It is also beneficial if you can work at least eight consecutive weeks during our summer period, preferably from week 25 to week 32.

As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and able to work independently. The operation is based on a shared value foundation, where patient perspective, professionalism, and a holistic view are fundamental. We value a warm approach towards patients and relatives.

To provide our patients with good and safe care, it is important that our employees have good language skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Swedish.
