Main Responsibilities

As an officer, you will participate in the agency's security work and will come into contact with both strategic and operational issues, primarily in the area of exposure of security-sensitive activities (previously referred to as SUA). You are responsible for ensuring that the documents produced in the process are handled correctly regarding legislation and for maintaining the internal document registers and records created regarding the exposure of security-sensitive activities (ESV). You support the operations with methodological support and independently process cases within your area of work. Furthermore, it includes conducting security screening interviews, managing background checks, security protection training for staff, supplier checks according to current routines, and ongoing work with analysis, planning, and follow-up of tasks within security protection. In the long term, we see you actively working to develop our methods and processes.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in the field of security or other education combined with experience that we deem relevant for the role
  • Experience in exposure of security-sensitive activities and/or security-protected procurement (ESV)
  • Good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in conducting security screening interviews or other semi-structured interviews or conversations
  • Training in interrogation techniques, conversation or interview techniques, behavioral science, or intelligence services
  • Experience in operational security work, preferably within defense-related or law enforcement agencies
  • Experience in service within Must or other parts of the Armed Forces
  • Training in intelligence or security services
  • Experience in processing asylum and citizenship cases
  • Experience in shaping and writing governing and supporting documents

Personal Qualities

The role also requires the ability to systematically manage and analyze different types of information. You thrive in a developing environment and appreciate the variety of working both independently and in collaboration with others. To enjoy the role, you also need to have a good ability to create trusting relationships, enjoy personal meetings, and be curious and attentive in conversations.

To fit the position, you need to be analytical, driven, and have a strong interest in security protection services. The work further requires that you have high integrity and are proactive with good judgment. You are meticulous, responsible, and structured in your work. You have good problem-solving skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The qualifications mentioned above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.

An employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. Security screening with background checks will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment also includes an obligation to be placed in wartime.
