Integration Developer – System Integration & API Management

We are looking for an experienced Integration Developer for an assignment with our client – a vital public service where integrations between systems are crucial for the exchange of electricity market data and a stable energy supply.

Integrations are a central part of the business, and a project is currently underway to implement a new IT solution for managing system integrations. In this role, you will be an important part of an agile team that develops, enhances, and migrates integrations from legacy to a new platform. The assignment may also involve work within IT management and participation in other projects.



Responsibilities

You will work in both development projects and management, where troubleshooting, fixing, and testing are included.

Examples of tasks:

  • Implement integration flows in Apache Camel on Kubernetes platform
  • Document design and system solutions
  • Work with XML and conversion between different XML formats
  • Troubleshoot, fix, and test new and existing integrations
  • Migrate integrations from legacy systems to a new integration platform
  • Participate in projects related to the integration area
  • Contribute to the implementation of API Management systems

You will work in an agile team consisting of analysts, developers, testers, and application specialists for integration platforms.

The assignment includes a security clearance and background check that must be approved before starting.



Your Profile

You are an experienced developer with high competence who works independently, takes responsibility for your area, and delivers with high quality. You are a natural role model and a support for more junior colleagues.



Must-Have Requirements
  • At least 5 years of work experience as a system developer in the last 10 years
  • At least 2 years of experience in application development based on microservice architecture and container technology in the last 10 years
  • At least 3 years of experience in Java development in the last 10 years
  • At least 1 year of experience in system and integration development, including the following technologies:
    • XML/XSLT
    • JMS
    • Web services (SOAP/REST)
  • At least 1 year of experience in system development with Apache Camel in the last 10 years

Desirable Competencies
  • At least 2 years of experience in system integration within the energy sector
  • At least 2 years of experience with integrations in Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle WebLogic
  • At least 2 years of experience with microservices based on Spring/Spring Boot
  • At least 2 years of experience working with APIs in an API Gateway
