IT Security Specialist
We continue to grow and are looking for several IT security specialists who want to help drive our work with cybersecurity and certification forward. With us, you can combine technology, law, and social responsibility in an international context and use your expertise to contribute to strengthened cybersecurity and a more resilient Sweden and Europe.
About the Role
As an IT security specialist, you will contribute to the development of future certification schemes, standards, and technical specifications within IT and cybersecurity. This includes contributing to what IT security requirements and evaluation criteria should be set in these. With us, you will have a central role in the work to enhance the security of digital products and services - both nationally and internationally.
In this role, you will participate in and represent the authority in various technical committees and working groups, both nationally, within the EU, and internationally, where you will contribute your expertise and monitor developments in the cybersecurity field. You will establish and deepen your own technical specialist knowledge about standards and certification schemes for cybersecurity and provide support to both internal colleagues and other authorities and market actors.
An important part of the assignment is to follow and analyze developments within EU regulations, certification systems, and technology areas to ensure that the authority has current and high competence in the area. The work also involves participating in supervision and licensing matters according to the EU Cybersecurity Act, such as assessments of authorizations and pre-approvals, as well as participating in reviews of other organizations both nationally and internationally.
You will also contribute to assessments of vulnerabilities in certified products and provide technical expertise in relevant areas for the development and application of certification schemes. As the regulations are under development, the role will also involve contributing to the operational development within the department.
The position is based in Stockholm, and travel occurs both nationally and internationally.
About You

You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have current and relevant certifications in IT and information security, such as Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC.
We welcome IT security specialists with varied experience, knowledge, and backgrounds. If you have any of the following experiences and skills, we consider them advantageous:
- current and relevant practical experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT security
- experience of international collaboration
- current and relevant experience of technical work in cybersecurity, such as cryptography, operating systems, and networks
- experience with relevant IT security standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 15408, ISO/IEC 18045, ISO/IEC 29147, ISO/IEC 30111, NIST 800 series, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- experience in accreditation, certification, or other processes for ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements, e.g., IT audits
- knowledge of European legislation such as the Cybersecurity Act (CSA), the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2), the Cyber Resilience Regulation (CRA), or the eID and Trust Services Regulation (eIDAS2)
Personal qualities are very important to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, is attentive, and solves problems constructively. We also see that you are self-driven, take initiative, and have the ability to plan and organize your work in a structured way while meeting deadlines.
