Workplace Description

We are looking for someone who wants to help ensure the quality of one of the Police Authority's largest systems that makes a real difference!

The Case Management Section is responsible for developing one of the Police Authority's largest case management systems, which includes the digital citizen meeting and a large part of the internal IT support used within the authority. The section currently consists of three groups that have overall responsibility for defining requirements, designing, developing, and maintaining the systems where user-friendliness and accessibility are central.

Job Description

In the role of tester, you will work with testing and quality assurance of the functionality in a large system and new development assignments prioritized within the Police Authority. The system is one of the largest within the authority and is used by several thousand users daily.

You will be part of a team with driven project leaders, requirement analysts, developers, and technical specialists who work agile and closely with the operations.

Main tasks:

  • Participate in the development of test strategies and test plans
  • Contribute to improving the testing process
  • Help plan the testing work together with the teams
  • Administer test data and test cases
  • Conduct manual tests and create automated tests
  • Report progress regarding testing activities and results from completed tests
  • Ensure that testing work is performed according to defined guidelines and standards
  • Collaborate with operations around quality and acceptance testing

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience that the Police Authority deems equivalent
  • Several years of recent work experience in testing that the Police Authority deems relevant
  • Work experience in test automation that the Police Authority deems relevant
  • Experience working with testing in agile working methods
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Certification in ISTQB or equivalent
  • Experience from change projects with significant IT system impact in larger companies
  • Work experience with Zephyr and/or Cypress or equivalent
  • Work experience with relational databases such as MySQL
  • Experience in similar work from authorities and/or larger organizations, preferably within the legal system
