To continue our journey forward, we are now looking for an Infrastructure Specialist at Svenska kraftnät.

About the position

As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will belong to the Database and Storage unit within the Infrastructure and Operations department. In your team, you will have skilled infrastructure specialists and architects in storage and database who develop and maintain Svenska kraftnät's storage and database environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for and work on the development and maintenance of our existing and upcoming backup systems. You will also be proactive and contribute to the development of our upcoming backup solution. Here you will have the opportunity to shape how the backup platform should be used within the framework of the business.

The work also includes operation, installation, configuration, and monitoring of the backup platform, as well as troubleshooting and restoring data as needed. To ensure continuity in the business, a central task is to develop and implement strategies for backup and recovery.

Around the new platform, you will work to spread knowledge and communicate about the new backup solution to IT at Svenska kraftnät. You are responsible for clarifying new working methods and their benefits, as well as supporting the business in the transition to the new solution. Since the solution will be widely used throughout the organization, the role is central to ensuring good understanding, correct usage, and an effective migration.

The position will also include

• Advising and participating in new design and architecture for the backup solution.
• Documenting the backup solution with associated work instructions.
• Implementing, maintaining, and developing Svenska kraftnät's new backup solution.
• Knowledge transfer and spreading knowledge about the new backup solution within IT.
• Assisting with recovery tests and verifying recovery plans.
• Following internal processes for case management.

The IT operations at Svenska kraftnät are in constant development, and we work to improve technical solutions as well as working methods and processes. The role also includes participating in such development activities, and you will be given good opportunities to develop, including through training and knowledge exchange with colleagues who have worked in the industry for a long time.

About you

Requirements:

In this role, it is very important that you have good collaboration skills. You should be able to relate to others in a responsive manner and communicate constructively and clearly. You likely have experience working in a larger, more complex organization, preferably in a changing environment. You enjoy working result-oriented with your team and the business, often in close collaboration with employees from other parts of the organization. Your success will depend greatly on your ability to take initiative, ask the right questions, listen, and draw conclusions. It is natural for you to take responsibility and see that your and the team's mission is part of a larger context. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

You have relevant education in IT or several years of work experience in the field that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent. You also have:

• At least 5 years of relevant and current work experience with backup systems Commvault Backup & Recovery or equivalent systems.
• Basic knowledge of network and server infrastructure as well as operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Driver's license
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience setting up Commvault against enterprise applications.
• Good knowledge of storage systems.
• Experience working in a management role with lifecycle management, patch management, and proactivity.
• Experience working and establishing solutions in environments with high security requirements.
• Interest in automation.
• Experience with container solutions.
• We would like you to have previously worked with complex environments and have experience with ITIL processes and case management.
