The Swedish Tax Agency has high ambitions to contribute to the digital transformation taking place in Sweden. The IT department of the Swedish Tax Agency is one of the largest in Sweden with around 1700 employees responsible for the development, operation, and management of the agency's IT landscape.

In the IT department, we develop digital infrastructure for other authorities and for the whole of Sweden, and we also collaborate with other authorities. AI solutions for faster and more efficient handling of information, solutions for managing VAT and employer contributions, and data warehouses for sharper analyses and better governance.

We work agilely with the support of the SAFe framework, and you will be part of influencing this change journey. You will work in a team where you collectively are responsible for both development and management. You will have the opportunity for varied tasks with development environments that encompass multiple generations of technology, platforms, and tools.

The Swedish Tax Agency is transitioning to a new technical platform based on OCP. In the role of Java Developer, there is an opportunity to develop within container technology. About you

You should also have:

• a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in the IT field, or alternatively several years of current and relevant work experience that the employer deems relevant
• several years of current and relevant work experience in programming in Java
• current and relevant work experience in generative AI.

Furthermore, it is also desirable that you have current and relevant work experience as a Scrum Master, as well as experience with GIT, Spring Boot, OCP, integrations, and architecturally complex systems.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and can start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
